Pro Player Academy of Baseball owner/founder Bill Gentry is a baseball professional as well as a Certified Fitness Trainer, and a Certified Life Coach. Gentry has held Asc Scouting assignments with the Pirates, Giants and Cardinals, as well as being the Head Coach and Program Director for the Pacific Stars Scout Team, SoCal Giants Scout Team, and SoCal Cardinals Scout Team. A former NCAA D-1 coach at California State University Bakersfield, and the former Senior Director of Baseball and Ballpark Operations, Assistant to the General Manager for the Texas Rangers in the Cal League. Gentry's other coaching assignments have been as Head Coach at Bakersfield Christian High School, where he was selected as a CIF Central Section 2005 Coach of the Year and built the schools baseball program from the ground up. Other assignments have been at Liberty High School in Bakersfield, CA., Buena High School in Ventura, CA., and Taft College in Taft, CA. Gentry signed a professional baseball contract as an amateur free agent infielder with the "Pacific Suns"of the Western Baseball League in their inaugural season, and was requested by the "Macon Music" as a pitching coach in the South Coast League of Professional Baseball. Coach Gentry has also been a fprofessional baseball instructor in Florida, Arizona, and Puerto Rico. Coach Gentry is a Life Member of the Major League Baseball Players Alumni Association, a Life Member of the Professional Ball Players Association of America, as well as the Minor League Baseball Alumni Association, American Baseball Coaches Association, and the National Pitching Association. Coach Gentry authored the book, "Professional Baseball Pitcher's Handbook - A Pitcher's Guide to Peak Performance"

Cassidy Bell - Professional Outfielder, Coach, Penn State-Home Run Recorded Holder

2017 Conference Coach of the Year in her first year as Taft College Head Softball Coach. Cassidy Bell is a Bakersfield native. Cassidy attended Liberty High School where she competed in cross-country, soccer, and softball. Cassidy received a scholarship to Penn State for softball. While at Penn State, Cassidy broke several records including; single season home runs (20), batting average (.456), runs (55), walks (42), and total bases (137). Cassidy's career records at Penn State included; home runs (37), and total bases (375). Cassidy was a First Team All-American, First Team All-Great Lakes, and First Team All-Big 10. After Penn State, Cassidy played professionally in Italy where her team finished third in the Euro Cup.
Nick Baker - Professional RHP, Baseball Coach
Originally from La Quinta, CA., attended Palm Desert High School, and went on to play baseball at Chico State University in Chico, CA. Nick was drafted by the Arizona Diamondbacks in 2014 in the 29th round, and went on to pitch in minor leagues for the D-Backs for four years.
